ISRT convincingly defeated a strong CSE team by 8 wickets in their first match of Inter-Department Cricket Tournament. Batting first, CSE compiled 89 runs for the loss of 4 wickets from their stipulated 10 overs. ISRT’s Prosanjit claimed 2 wickets for only 11 runs from his bowling of 2 overs, while Joy took 1 wicket for 15 runs. In reply, ISRT chased down the target losing only 2 wickets with almost 2 overs to spare. ISRT’s Asif hit 16 runs from only 9 balls. Joy scored a match winning 35 from 21 balls and deservedly declared the man-of-the-match for his all-round performance.
