On the 25th of February, 2018 ISRT organized Freshers’ reception for the new first year bachelor students (batch 24) and gave farewell to its eldest Masters students (batch 19). The day-long event was held in the TSC auditorium. Professor Dr. Nasreen Ahmad, the Honorable Pro-vice Chancellor of University of Dhaka, was present as the chief guest of the ceremony. The Honorable Director of ISRT, Dr. Md. Israt Rayhan chaired the program. Unfortunately, the special guest, Professor Dr. Mohammed Abdul Aziz, the Honorable Dean of the Faculty of Science, could not attend the ceremony due to personal reasons. The second year students of ISRT (batch 23) , with the guidance of the Reception and Farewell committee, worked relentlessly to put together a well-organized and colorful ceremony. Students from all batches participated in different cultural activities including songs, dances and dramas to entertain the audience. Apart from enjoyable student performances, other highlights of the day was the chief guest’s deep and touching speech towards the fresh and leaving students, reception of crests by students from the chief guest and notes by students from the youngest and eldest batches. The ceremony concluded with the performance of a musical band.
