Dr. Md. Asaduzzaman retires from ISRT

Our beloved faculty member Dr. Md. Asaduzzaman has taken early retirement from ISRT on 1st September, 2017. Dr. Md. Asaduzzaman was a student of the first batch of Applied Statistics and graduated from ISRT in 2001. He joined ISRT in 2001 as a lecturer and was promoted to Assistant Professor in 2005. After completing his Masters in Bioinformatics from Chalmers University and PhD in Operation Research from the University of Westminster, he again joined ISRT on December 8, 2009. He was promoted to Associate Professor on May 31, 2012. His prodigious contribution towards the statistical community has been praised and acknowledged internationally and he was awarded the most prestigious and distinguished Operation Research (OR) Society PhD prize for his PhD dissertation “Capacity Planning of a Perinatal Network: A Loss Network Framework” under the supervision of Professor Thierry Chaussalet, in September 2011. He is currently working at the Staffordshire University, United Kingdom [http://www.staffs.ac.uk/staff/profiles/ma9.jsp], link. ISRT family is profoundly grateful for his solemn dedication and enormous contribution towards ISRT and arranged a small farewell program on the same day to acclaim his immense contribution to ISRT.
