SUMMARY:'R for Data Analytics' Training Program (in person) starts from 02 August 2022
DESCRIPTION:After successfully conducting three training programs on R\, ISRT is now organizing its fourth on-campus (in-person) R for Data Analytics program from August 02\, 2022. The deadline has been extended to August 2\, 2022. Details of the program are available on its webpage: https://www.isrt.ac.bd/training/r/ \n

SUMMARY:Seminar on "Constrained inference in mixed models for clustered data"
DESCRIPTION:Title: Constrained inference in mixed models for clustered data\n\n\nAbstract:\nMixed models are commonly used for analyzing clustered data\, including\nlongitudinal data and repeated measurements. Unrestricted full maximum\nlikelihood (ML) methods have been extensively studied in the literature\nfor analyzing generalized\, linear\, and mixed models. However\, constraints\nor parameter orderings may occur in practice\, and in such cases\, we can\nimprove the efficiency of a statistical method by incorporating parameter\nconstraints into the ML estimation and hypothesis testing. In this talk\, I\nwill discuss constrained inference with generalized linear mixed models\n(GLMMs) under linear inequality constraints. Methods will be assessed\nusing both Monte Carlo simulations and actual survey data from a health\nstudy. \n\n\nPresenter:\n\nSanjoy Sinha\n\n\n\nProfessor\nSchool of Mathematics and Statistics\nCarleton University\, Ottawa\, ON\, Canada\n\n\n\n\n\n
