\section{Introduction}

Introduction goes here. In this section, I will describe how to
typeset equations and how to label them so that you can refer them
later in the discussion.

%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
%% WRITING EQUATIONS, LABELING AND REFERRING THEM.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%

\subsection{Typesetting Equations}
Here is an example of how to type equations and label it. In this
equation, I have labeled the equation as “\verb"eq:eq1"”. Note that,
it will not appear in your final output. When you will refer this
equation later, use \verb"\label{eq:eq1}".

\begin{equation}\label{eq:eq1}
\hat{\mu}_{j}= \frac{1}{n_j} \sum_{i=1}^{n_j} Y_{ji}, \;
\hat\sigma^2_j = \frac{1}{n_j} \sum_{i=1}^{n_j} (Y_{ji} -
\hat{\mu}_{j})^2.
\end{equation}

\subsection{How to Refer to an Equation}

See how I am referring the above equation in the following: In
Equation \ref{eq:eq1}, we have estimated $\mu_j$. Please note that,
I have put the full stop just inside the end \$ sign, NOT outside
the \$ sign. This is IMPORTANT. Why? It will prevent you from an
unexpected line-break just before the full stop. If it happens, the
full stop will not be with the $\mu_j.$

%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
%% WRITING EQUATIONS, LABELING AND REFERRING THEM.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
\subsection{Example of an Example}

Here I will show how to typeset an example.
\begin{example} Here goes your example.
Just typeset your example within the \verb"\begin{example}" and
\verb"\end{example}" command. It will then be automatically
numbered.
\end{example}

%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
%% WRITING THEOREMS
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
\subsection{Writing Theorems: An Example}

\begin{theorem}[Optional name of the theorem]
\quad Let $X_j \sim \Lambda (\theta, \tau_j^2), \ j=1, \cdots ,
m,$ and suppose that observations from a sample of size $n_j$ are
available for each population. Then a combined sample estimate of
$\theta$ which has minimum variance among the class of the unbiased
estimators of $\theta$ which are linear functions of
$\hat\theta_1,\ldots \hat\theta_m$ is given by
$$\tilde\theta=\frac{\sum_{j=1}^m \frac{n_j}{\hat\nu_j}\hat\theta_j}
{\sum_{j=1}^m \frac{n_j}{\hat\nu_j}},$$ where
\[
\hat\nu_j = \hat\sigma_j^{2} (1+\hat\sigma_j^{2}/2) \exp \{2\hat\mu_j +
\hat\sigma_j^{2}\}.
\]
\end{theorem}

\begin{theorem}[Yet another example]\quad Let $n\to\infty$ and also $n_j/n$ approches to a constant
for any $j=1,\ldots,m.$ Then under the null hypothesis in (2.1), the
test statistic $T_{1}$ follows a chi-square distribution with $m$
degrees of freedom.
\end{theorem}
\proof You may use \verb"\proof "command to start the Proof of your
Theorem, Lemma etc.

%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
%% WRITING LEMMA
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
\subsection{Writing Lemma: An Example}

\begin{lemma}[Ahmed and Tomkins, 1995] Just write your lemma
within the \verb"\begin{lemma}" and \verb"\end{lemma}" command and
they will be automatically numbers. Its that easy!
\end{lemma}

\subsection{Adding a Table}
Please use the following style to add a table in your document.
Thanks!
\begin{table}
  \centering
  \caption{Caption of your Table}\label{tb:label-of-table}
  \bigskip
  \begin{tabular}{l|r|r|r|r}\hline
& \multicolumn{2}{c}{H F}&\multicolumn{2}{c}{G F}\\\hline Statistics&F&Log-F & F & Log-F
\\\hline
    Mean & 1275 & 7.003 & 1275 & 6.99 \\
    St. Deviation & 730.3 & 0.5574& 728 & 0.591 \\
    Coeff. Variation & 0.573 & 0.0796& 0.571&0.0845 \\
    Coeff.Skewness & 1.5 & -0.0787 & 1.52 &-0.0618\\
    Serial Corr. & 0.06 &-0.0114 & 0.065& 0.068 \\\hline
  \end{tabular}
\end{table}

\subsection{How about Wide Table?}
Here is an example(Table~\ref{tb:widetable}) of table in landscape
format.

\begin{landscape}
\begin{table}
  \centering
  \caption{MLE (New): MSE and Bias of $\hat{\lambda}$ and $\hat{\sigma}$ for
  fixed $\lambda=0$ and $\sigma=1$ based on 1,000 Monte Carlo runs.}\label{tb:widetable}

\end{tabular}
\end{table}
\end{landscape}

\subsection{Adding Figures to your Document}
Here is an example of adding figures to your document.
\begin{figure}[h]\label{fig:label}
  \centering
\epsfxsize=4in \epsfbox{test.ps}
  \caption{Caption of your Figure}
\end{figure}

\subsection{Last but not the Least}
Please do not use any \verb"\vspace" command to make paragraphs. use
\verb"\paragraph" or \verb"\para" commands instead. Should you need
to use commands to make space, use the \verb"\smallskip" or
\verb"\bigskip" command. However, we encourage you NOT to use any of
these commands if you are not forced to.
