Use of transformed auxiliary variable in ratio method of estimation

G. Singh (1985). Use of transformed auxiliary variable in ratio method of estimation. Journal of Statistical Research, Vol. 19, No. 1-2, pp.  ??-??.

Abstract

The knowledge of auxiliary variable is often utilised in estimating the population parameter of interest more accurately. When a suitable auxiliary variable, negatively correlated with the variable under study is available, Srivenkatramana (1980) has suggested a new ratio type estimator. In this article the estimator proposed by Srivenkatramana is further examined in SRSWOR and Midzunu Scheme.
