Minimizing the average variance of the difference between two estimated responses

R. Mukherjee and S. Huda  (1985). Minimizing the average variance of the difference between two estimated responses. Journal of Statistical Research, Vol. 19, No. 1-2, pp.  ??-??.

Abstract

Minimization of the average variance of the difference between estimated responses at two points is taken as the criterion for selecting designs. Optimal designs under the criterion are derived for second-order polynomial models and the designs obtained are seen to be robust in terms of D-optimallty. The prospect of possible extension of the results to the third order case has also been considered.
