A note on jack-knifed ratio and product type estimators

R.K. Singh, S.K. Pandey and N.D. Shukla (1985). A note on jack-knifed ratio and product type estimators. Journal of Statistical Research, Vol. 19, No. 1-2, pp.  ??-??.

Abstract

The use of ratio and product estimators when supplementary information is available on an auxiliary variable, is well known. Ray, Sahai and Sahai (2) proposed the transformed estimators which are biased and are obtained through parametric linear combinations of ratio or product and the usual unbiased estimator of the population mean. In this paper, we have proposed the two generalised jack-knifed transformed estimators which are better than the other estimators in the sense of unbiasedness and mean square error.
