ABSTRACT
A recent study based on the General Practice Research Database in the United Kingdom found that psoriasis (Ps) is associated with an increased risk of acute myocardial infarction (AMI). Similar associations may exist between psoriatic arthritis (PsA) and AMI, but no data are available. To address this issue, we examined the relation between PsA and the risk of incident AMI (in patients who were admitted to the hospital for AMI) in a population – based musculoskeletal cohort database from British Columbia, Canada.
