Sequential Point Estimation of the Mean of a Log-Normal Population

A. Chaturvedi (1987). Sequential Point Estimation of the Mean of a Log-Normal Population. Journal of Statistical Research, Vol. 21, No. 1-2, pp.  ??-??.

Abstract

Sequential procedures are developed for minimum risk point estimation of the mean of a log-normal population. Two sasses are discussed, (i) when the procedure is based on sample mean, and (ii) when the procedure is based on maximum likelihood estimator. Asymptotic properties of the proposed procedures are studied.
