It is a privilege, indeed an honour, to be able to write on a distinguished scientist like Professor A K Md Ehsanes Saleh who has attained the highest level of professional achievements. His outstanding professional contributions and thought provoking pioneering research have placed him among the top leaders of his discipline. Colleagues and peers of Professor Saleh, across the globe, have acknowledged and recognized his great contributions in many dierent ways. The Journal of Statistical Research (JSR) has joined a long list of organizations and institutions to recognize the seminal work of Professor Saleh by dedicating this special volume in his honour to mark his 70th birth day.
