Orientation Class - Batch 16
The orientation class of the new first year students of Applied Statistics (Batch - 16) will be held on Tuesday, 26th January at 11 AM in the ISRT Seminar room. All the students of 16th Batch are welcomed to ISRT as the new members of the family.

ISRT beat Pharmacy Department in CricketISRT clinched a comprehensive win against the Department of Pharmacy in their first match of the Inter Department Cricket Tournament organised by the University of Dhaka. The match was held on Tuesday, January 12, 2010, at the Jagannath Hall ground. ISRT won the match by four wickets, batting first Pharmacy Department scored 124 runs in 20 overs. Chasing the target, ISRT made 125 runs for 6 wickets in 16 overs. We all congratulate the ISRT cricket team.

ISRT faculty received an awardISRT faculty Shahedul Ahsan Khan has been selected to receive one of International Biometric Society's ENAR Distinguished Student Paper Awards for the 2010 ENAR Spring meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. The meeting is supposed to take place on March 22-23, 2010 and Shahedul Ahsan Khan is expected to present his paper there. He is currently on study leave for higher studies at the University of Waterloo, Canada. |

Welcome back Md. AsaduzzamanAfter completing his higher studies at the University of Westminster, United Kingdom, Md. Asaduzzaman has joined ISRT on December 8, 2009. Asad, a student of the first batch of Applied Statistics, graduated from ISRT in 2001. He joined ISRT in 2001 as a lecturer and was promoted to Assistant Professor in 2005. Both of them were students of the Batch 8 of Applied Statistics, University of Dhaka. They successfully completed the MS in Applied Statistics in the early of the year 2009. |
